Range Rover after paint enhancement and exterior detailing at Royal Automotive Care in Southport, Gold Coast

A complete refresh for a familiar client

This Range Rover arrived at our Southport studio through a long-standing client who regularly trusts Royal Automotive Care with their vehicles.

The brief was to refresh the car inside and out. Heavy swirl marks and scratches across the paintwork called for additional machine polishing, alongside a thorough interior detail. Our approach combined the foundations of Royal Treatment with a two-stage paint enhancement, giving both the exterior and cabin the attention they needed.

Restoring clarity to the paintwork

Large panels can make a Range Rover’s paint condition particularly noticeable. Swirls and scratches interrupt the reflections across the bonnet and bodywork, leaving the finish looking tired.

After washing and preparing the exterior, we worked through a two-stage machine polishing process. The cutting stage addressed the swirl marks and recoverable scratches, followed by refinement to improve clarity and gloss.

The aim was a substantial improvement while respecting the paintwork. Deeper scratches require individual assessment, rather than chasing every mark at the expense of the finish.

Working through the details

We regularly detail Range Rovers, and familiarity with these vehicles helps us plan the work thoroughly. Broad panels, pronounced body lines, trim transitions and smaller areas around badges each need a considered approach.

Polishing requires adjustments as we move between open panels and tighter sections. The same attention carries through to cleaning, with products chosen for the surface and the task, including pH-neutral wash chemistry where appropriate.

It is this work across the whole vehicle that brings the finished result together.

A thorough interior refresh

The cabin received a full interior detail to complement the exterior work. In a large luxury SUV, there is considerable ground to cover, from the seating and carpets to the console, door trims and smaller areas that collect dirt through everyday use.

Leather cleaning formed part of the refresh, with attention to the areas exposed to regular contact. The objective was a clean, cared-for cabin that suited the vehicle’s character.

The finished result

The completed work brought together clearer paint reflections, improved gloss and a thoroughly refreshed interior. It is a useful example of how Royal Treatment can be tailored with additional paint enhancement when a vehicle needs more extensive polishing.

For Range Rover owners considering a similar detail, we begin with an inspection at our Southport studio. This allows us to assess the paint and interior, discuss the result you want and recommend the appropriate scope of work.
