Gold Coast

A refined approach to restoring gloss, removing imperfections, and elevating your vehicle’s finish, delivered inside our controlled studio environment.

What Is Paint Correction?

Paint correction is the process of restoring and refining your vehicle’s paintwork by safely removing imperfections such as swirl marks, light scratches, oxidation, and haze.

At Royal Automotive Care, each vehicle is assessed individually and corrected using professional-grade machine polishing techniques, tailored to the condition and type of paint.

The goal is not just improvement but a refined, consistent finish that enhances depth, clarity, and overall presentation.

Our Paint Correction Process

Each vehicle undergoes a structured correction process, tailored to its condition and finish. While every job is approached individually, the core stages remain consistent to ensure safe and precise results.

Preparation & Decontamination

The process begins with a thorough wash sequence, including a pre-wash, decontamination wash, and pH-neutral cleanse. This safely removes surface dirt and prepares the vehicle for further inspection.

Once dried, the paintwork is assessed for embedded contamination. A clay bar treatment is then carried out to refine the surface, ensuring it is smooth and ready for machine work.

Inspection & Test Spot

Sensitive areas are carefully masked before correction begins.

Under controlled lighting, the paint condition is inspected and a test spot is performed. This allows us to determine the most suitable combination of pads, compounds, and techniques for the specific vehicle.

Correction Stage

The initial correction stage focuses on reducing defects such as swirl marks, sanding marks, and scratches.

Depending on the condition of the paint, this stage may involve multiple passes to safely refine the surface without compromising the clear coat.

Refinement Stage

Once defects have been addressed, the focus shifts to refining the finish.

This stage enhances gloss, clarity, and depth through polishing and micro-polishing, bringing the paintwork to its desired appearance under all lighting conditions.

Final Preparation & Protection

After machine polishing, the vehicle is washed again to remove any residual dust.

Final inspections are carried out, with minor touch-ups performed where necessary. A high-quality sealant is then applied to protect the finish and maintain the results achieved.

The result is a clear and noticeable transformation in the way the vehicle presents:

  • Increased gloss and depth

  • Reduced swirl marks and surface defects

  • Improved clarity under all lighting conditions

  • A cleaner, more refined finish overall

Paint correction also provides the ideal foundation for long-term protection such as ceramic coating.
